Petition of over 57,000 objections delivered to the Ross Trust

Film crews from both Channel 7 and Channel 9 filmed our rally on the 8th April 2021 to deliver a petition signed by more than 57,000 people to the Ross Trust at their offices in East Melbourne. Sadly no one would open the door. We tried ringing but a recorded message told us to call back later. We were there to call on the Ross Trust, and the company it owns, Hillview Quarries, to STOP plans for a massive new quarry on Arthurs Seat.

Once again Jeremy Kirkwood said to reporters that it's the early stages of this proposal. We are not sure why he is saying this and have asked the Ross Trust for clarification but we've had no response.

The Ross Trust submitted their application to the state government in 2018 (3 years ago) and have one more report to finalise according to Sally Harle, the director of the Boundary Road Quarry, who also said the EES is due to be released at the end of this year.
